Club Rankings after Week 4
Club Points after 4 weeks So we've had 40 teams from the clubs over the 4 weeks. The amended scoring system has made it tight at the top, with the big turn-out at in the Kick Off races being all that is keeping Rochdale A above Wyre A. Keep battling!

Week 4 Rider Results
Some of you are a (little) competitive! That's a good thing, so here is a little data from Week 4 which you might find interesting. Top 2 times on the Richmond Rollercoaster As we have all been racing the same course, we can compare times across all riders. Paul Jagger from Wyre clearly smashed this course with a big win against all others. Unusual to see no-one from Rochdale in this list. Of course, the way a race plays out out the time of week (compared to club nights) e

Week 4 - Barbarians v Tri Lakeland
The top 3 finishing spots were rtaken by Tri Lakeland in this race, with Lee Baxter coming out on top. Congrats to Chris Watson from Roessendale who was the quickest of the Barbarians. Rebecca Watson was the fastest woman home and made the Tri Lakeland A Team with her finishing score. Rider positions from Barbarians and Tri Lakeland Tri Lakeland got 3 teams out, and so also earned the Club Bonus for their teams. Team Scores Please let me know - or your Captains - if you see

Week 4 - Wyre v Manchester
I'm aware that I'm still curning results from week 4 as week 5 races are already completing. Apologies. It's been a bigger job than expected - but that's great because it fres up the Captains from having to score as well as organise the races, and it meanse there are loads of you raciing. Nearly 400 of you have completed at least 1 race so far. Apology over... In contrast to some of the big turnouts of women's riders last week, just one female rider this week. So well don

Week 4 - Chester v Adapted Endurance
Nigel Smith from Chester chased home Phil Ellison from Endurance with a gap of under half a second in what looks like it must have been a close 2-up sprint at the end of this race. It also meant that Nigel was the top point scorer in this race, being a 50+ racer compared to Phil who is a comparatively youthful Veteran! Special mention to Gaynor Beckett as the first woman across the line in the Chester B Team Rider results Those bonus points from the last few racers from Endu

Week 4 - Rochdale v Serpentine
Slightly smaller numbers that we normally expect from the Rochdale Team gave the Serpentine riders a chanve, and Alex Pearson grabbed that in winning this event, with Serpentine riders taking 3 of the top 4 slots. Ivan, the Captain of Serpentine was the largest points scorer in this event. Rider Results However, as ever, strength in depth and rider numbers count more than having the first rider across the line. So Rochdale A top the team charts again. Team results As ever,

Week 4 - Trident v Mersey
A well matched couple of clubs here, with both gettng 4 teams out. Congrats to Captain Dan Waller from Mersey who pipped Sean Bradley from Trident across the line first. Suzie Taroni was the fastest woman and made the Trident A team. Papa Gav May (some of you do like to make my job harder by using cryptic names) was the top point scorer this week. Week 4 - Total v Bolton
So, on to Week 4 as we take on the Richmond course with the super-steep gradient early in the race. First to give it their best were the teams from Total and Bolton. Again, amazing to see a 50:50 split with men and women taking part. It at least makes me feel proud that we are doing a decent job of making the series attractive to everyone in our Tri Community. Special congratulations to Clair from Bolton and Victoria from Total who made their respective A-teams (without Fe

Week 3 Round Up
For those that like these things, a round up of the events of Week 3. For the first time we got all the teams to ride the same course. There were an amazing 186 who did - so great work Captains. This has enabled us to compare times across the week. Here they are, you competitive lot! Top 60-ish Top 120 - ish Top 186! But, I thought you might also like to see who, after the 1st 3 weeks of racing out of the 280 riders who have completed at least 1 race, who are the biggest o

Team Positions - Week 3
So we have had our Mass Kick Off races, our TT event, and the first round of Head-to-Head races, so it is now time to see where we stand. We have now had 36 Teams representing the 12 clubs, but even with the slightly amended scoring system the table has a familiar look: The standings after Week 3 So the question is, can anyone knock Rochdale off the top? This coming week gives us a chance to find out, with the races taking place over the Richmond Rollercoaster selected by To

Chester v Bolton Results
Fantastic to see a race in which the majority of riders were women! We want to be inclusive, but great to have the Bolton women dominating the turnout in this race. That having been said, Charlie Price from Chester led everyone home as Chester took the top 3 places. Paul Lupton was the first across the line from Bolton. But Claire Burns and Ella Carter made the Bolton A-Team. Chester v Bolton Rider Results So while Chester had the faster riders, the numbers from Bolton en

Barbarians v Mersey Results
As one of the key objectives of the whole series is to foster a bit of inter-club co-operation and support, its great to have the Barbarians Team involved, bringing togetehr riders from all over the North West to work together. Ian Elsby did his beat by beating the Mersey Captain, Dan Waller home in a closing sprint. Sophie Billingham was Mersey's highest point scorer though, coming in 7th overall and the first woman over the line. Barbarians v Mersey Rider Results Proving

Adapted Endurance v Manchester
It's out first time with teams from Adapted Endurance and Manchester in our series, so great to have these teams involved. Ryan Snee from Adapted Enduramce was the fastest over the course this time, with team Captain Phil Ellison from Adfapted 0.38s behind him. Must have been a tight sprint! Gio from Adapted was the fastest woman in this race. The mysterious "Chappers" was Manchester's quickest rider in 3rd and he clearly had his own tussle, beating Sergio over the line b

Trident v Serpentine
Ivan Gowan captained Serpentine from the front, leading home the race and also being the MVP in this clash. Samantha Tophill really impressed by being the first woman to cross the line for Team Trident, and at 60+ scored big points, making the Trident A Team. Individual results are as follows: Rider results for Trident v Serpentine Those points from Samantha plus the bonus for getting 4 teams out however propelled Trident A to the top in the Team results. Results - Tri Lakeland v Rochdale
First I need to start with an apology! This has taken way too long. As the series has become more popular, the burden on Captains in organising their teams, and then scoring the results got greater each year. As a consequence it started to take longer to get the scores out. When we asked for feedback on the series we got almost universal positive feedback, but run rider gave a very low response and complianed that the results were taking too long to get out. So we spent

Zwift Racing - some teething issues
On the first night of the head-to-head races we had 3 fantastic races with great turnout. A big thanks to all the Captains who marshalled all the riders. Riders who are desperate to see their individual performances will be able to see their results already on both the Zwift Companion Ap and also - in an innovation this year - ZwiftPower too. However, its taking us a little while to compile the Club and Team results for this races and one of the key reasons for this is that

Week 2 Results - Time Trial
Over the last week 176 attempts were made at the tough Hilltop Hustle Time trial, with some riders having 3 attempts at the course to set their best time. Because in this series we also recognise everyone, we also recorded the number of attempts made by each club when calculating the results. NW Triathlon Zwift Racing 2026 Scoring
The kick-off races are completed and the scores are being drawn up for the TT week. Now the head-to-head races are about to begin. The following is a little refresh for all on how these work and how the scores will be calculated. There are some developments again from previous years based around feedback from racers and Captains in the 2025 series. Each week riders from one Club are pitched against another in a 10-mile head-to-head race. The 'home team' Captain sets up th

Zwift Racing Kick Off
Over 2 Races during the first week of January we completed the Kick Off Races for this year's Zwift Racing Series organised by Triathlon England NW. Regular racers will be used to seeing Rochdale in the lead, with good riders and big attendances. However, Wyre are right behind them, and Tri Lakeland and Adapted Endurance have had a strong start with the best points per rider scores at 120 and 130 points per rider respectively. What makes a good scoring rider? Well obviously
