A massive congrats to Brad, our Age-Grouper athlete who has just joined the ranks of finishers of one of the most brutal and beautiful triathlons on the global calendar.
Brad's 8hrs and 33 minutes finish time included an impressive 37 minute swim of 2.2km in the stunning Lake Verney. He flew through the first 90km of the bike course, at one point getting into 4th place and was still well placed after the final climb up the legendary Alpe d'Huez climb. He battled on through cramp on the run, finishing in 26th place - a thoroughly fantastic effort.
