Week 6 - Wyre v Chester

I think we all know that Wyre are on a mission to dent the monopoly that Rochdale have held over this competition in previous years. However, it seems that N Smith from Chester was trying to break P Jagger's monopoly on race wins by pipping him in the sprint to finish first in a very quick time. Looks like it was a good race. Ewa Leja continued her consistent performance as one of the top femal racers, making the Wyre A team with her 12th place finish.

Jagger can't get the satisfaction this time.

However the strong performance of the Wyre riders filling 8 of the top 10 places means that when it comes to the Team Scores they get maximum points again.

Chester A just edge out Wyre B by half a mark!

However it was super tight for second place - perhaps the closest ever with just 0.5 of a mark making the difference. In effect the epic sprint that must have taken place with riders from 13th to 22nd getting the same time made all that difference.
